Restoration Process

Five Step Guide Helping You Understand The Insurance Restoration Process

Step 1: Setting up the appointment

Once you are interested after receiving this information or you had one of our team leaders visit you in your neighborhood, we offer to set up an appointment for a restoration specialist from JBL Roofing to inspect your property for any damage. Please keep in mind that this is a short appointment and most importantly, it is FREE. We respect and understand the need to fix dinner, take children to their games, etc and relax if there is enough time left in the day! If we find damage, we immediately call in a claim to schedule an appointment with the insurance adjusters as shown in Step 2.

Step 2: Following the Claim

After we discover damage to your home, we will call your insurance company to initiate a claim. Once we have received a claim number and the insurance representative's name, we will set up an appointment with them to inspect the property damage. This saves everyone time, which helps us restore your home to its original condition as quickly as possible.

Step 3: The Insurance Adjustment/Estimate

Your JBL Roofing Representative will visit the site and create an estimate. We will prepare a detailed list of repair items and measurements of the damaged areas, and then submit the estimate for approval. Our focus is on making sure you get all you're entitled to receive and get your home back to normal. We do not work for the insurance company, we work for you!

Step 4: Receiving Funds

The Insurance company will write you an initial check for part of your claim. Depending on the situation, they may write you a check on the spot or it might take as long as weeks (or more). If you have a mortgage on your home, the check will probably be made out to your mortgage holder, you will need to contact the mtg company and begin the process to transfer the funds as soon as possible. The good news at this point, we can usually get started on your restoration. The deductible should be your only out of pocket expense unless you choose to make changes or upgrades. Typically the check for the remainder of the claim will be issued from your insurance company upon notification that the work is completed. Sometimes an inspection a mortgage is required by but a letter of completion sent by JBL Roofing is sufficient for the release of funds.

Step 5: Construction Begins

Your JBL Roofing Representative will instruct you to make your selections for the materials needed to repair your home. Meanwhile, we will work on obtaining permits if necessary and scheduling the work needed. At this point in the process, we are generally able to get started on the restoration of your home right away.
